This site
These pages are static files on a CDN. There are no analytics, no cookies, and no trackers — I genuinely don't know you visited. Fonts are self-hosted, so no font service sees you either. Standard server logs may exist at the hosting layer (Firebase Hosting), as with any website.
The Greenhouse chat tools
Sprout, the Writing Bed and Scout are the only interactive parts of the site. When you send a message, it goes to a small server I run (Google Cloud Run, London region), which passes it to Google's Gemini API to generate the reply. My server doesn't store your chats — it holds them in memory only long enough to answer, plus in-memory counters for rate limiting that reset when the server sleeps. Your message is processed by Google's API under Google Cloud's terms.
Treat the chat like a postcard, not a safe: it's built for questions about my work, so please don't paste anything sensitive into it.
If you email me, I have your email — that's how email works. I use it to reply, and for nothing else. No newsletter, no list, no forwarding.
Changes
